How much are old StarCom toys worth?
StarCom is easy to underestimate because it had such a short life. The first two waves reached the US, while many later sets were sold only in Canada and Europe and can be especially hard to find. What matters first is exactly which figures, vehicles and playsets are there. Original pilots, weapons, backpacks, canopies and pod modules can all help a collection.
Condition still matters, but the line has some well-known age problems. White plastic often yellows, and the tiny gears inside Power Deploy units can crack or slip even with normal use. A working mechanism is a nice extra rather than something I count on, and an incomplete or non-working toy may still be useful to a collector for parts. Photograph everything as you find it rather than forcing a mechanism or trying to whiten the plastic, and I'll tell you exactly what I'd pay, with no obligation.

Is StarCom actually collectable? Nobody seems to have heard of it.
It really is. StarCom had a short run, and many of the later toys were sold only in Canada and Europe, so dedicated collectors have relatively few chances to buy them. Most general toy buyers would pass it over; I'm actively looking for it.
The Power Deploy features don't work. Are the toys still worth selling?
Yes. The small internal gears can crack or slip, and spring-loaded or motorised parts can jam after decades in storage. Working features are a bonus, but non-runners are still wanted complete or for parts. Please don't force a stuck mechanism before taking photos.
How can I tell whether the little figures are StarCom?
StarCom figures are about two inches tall and have magnets set into the soles of their boots. Most human figures also have a small movable helmet visor. Photograph any figures, weapons, backpacks and tiny vehicle parts together; I can identify the factions and match up what belongs with what.
