What I'm looking for
- Playmates figures from the original 1988–1997 range
- First-wave figures from 1988, including early soft-head versions
- Later figures from 1992 onwards, made in smaller numbers as the range wound down
- Vehicles such as the Party Wagon, Turtle Blimp, Turtlecycle and Pizza Thrower
- The Sewer Playset and Technodrome, complete or incomplete
- Unopened carded figures, boxed toys, instructions and card backs
- Original weapons, accessories and loose parts
- …and everything else: loose figures, odd weapons, spare parts and mixed job lots included. Incomplete is fine.
How much are vintage TMNT toys worth?
Old Turtles figures were made in serious numbers, so there's no single price for a figure or a collection: the exact release decides it. The early soft-head variants of the 1988 figures are especially sought after. At the other end, figures from the final few years were made in far smaller numbers as the range wound down, and they include some of the most valuable in the line, often characters most people have never heard of. Anything still carded gets judged on its card and bubble as well as the figure inside.
Vehicles and playsets follow the same rules: removable parts, working features, boxes and instructions all help, and I buy incomplete examples too. Photograph the whole collection together, then add closer shots of any packaging, markings, damage and loose weapons, and I'll work out what's there and make you a no-obligation offer.

TMNT questions
Which Turtles count as vintage?
To me, vintage means Playmates' original 1988–1997 run. In the UK the cartoon and the toys were renamed "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles", so both names cover the same range and I buy both. I don't buy the later relaunches, but if you're not sure what era yours are from, send a photo and I'll tell you.
Do you buy figures with missing weapons?
Yes. I buy loose figures without their weapons, especially as part of a collection or mixed lot. The original weapons and small accessories can raise an offer, so include any loose pieces in the photos even if you can't match them to a figure.
